Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

• Sign-in details. You can play as a guest with no account. If you choose to sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the identifier those services provide and, if you allow it, your name and email address. Apple's "Hide My Email" option is fully supported; we never see your real address in that case. On supported devices the game may also sign you in automatically with your Apple Game Center (iOS) or Google Play Games (Android) player identity, if you are already signed in to that service on your device. This is done without a prompt; we receive only an identifier for that player account, and nothing happens if you are not signed in to the service.
• Support messages. If you email us, we keep the message and your address so we can reply.
• Redemption codes. If you enter a promotional code, we record which code was used on your account.

Information collected automatically

• Game progress. Your save data: currencies, upgrades, achievements, settings, and play statistics such as time played and actions taken. This is what lets your progress sync across devices.
• Device and app information. Device model, operating system version, app version, language, and a randomly generated installation identifier.
• Usage and performance data. Which screens and features you use, session length, and crash and error reports.
• Advertising identifier. When rewarded ads are shown, Google's advertising SDK may collect your device's advertising identifier and related device information. See section 4.

We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos, or microphone data.

2. How we use information

• To save your progress and restore it on any device you sign in on.
• To run the game's online features, including free daily rewards and any in-app purchases you make.
• To show rewarded video ads that you choose to watch in exchange for in-game rewards.
• To understand how the game is played so we can fix bugs, balance the game, and improve it.
• To detect cheating, abuse, and fraud.
• To respond to your support requests.
• To send a local reminder notification when a daily reward is ready, if you allow notifications. These are scheduled on your device; we do not send push messages from our servers.

3. Where information is stored and who processes it

Your data is stored on Google Firebase servers located in the United States. Save data is encrypted on our servers before it is stored. The services we use are:

Each of these providers handles data under its own privacy policy. Apple and Google process payments; we never see your card or billing details.

4. Advertising

Shapefinities shows rewarded video ads through Google AdMob. Ads are only shown when you choose to watch one; there are no forced or interstitial ads.

To serve and measure these ads, AdMob and its partner ad networks may collect your advertising identifier, IP address, and device information. Depending on your region and choices, ads may be personalized based on this information.

Your choices:

• European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland. Before ads are shown you will be asked whether you consent to personalized advertising. You can change your answer at any time from the game's settings. In these regions we do not collect usage analytics (Firebase Analytics is switched off).
• iOS. You can limit ad tracking in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and reset or disable your advertising identifier in Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising.
• Android. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Settings → Google → Ads.

Google's advertising practices are described at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

5. Sharing information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

We share information only:

• With the service providers listed in section 3, to the extent needed to run the game.
• If required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of players or ourselves.
• If Shapefinities is ever transferred to a new owner, in which case this policy continues to apply to your data.

6. Data retention

Your save data and account are kept for as long as you have an account so your progress is not lost. Analytics and crash data are retained by Firebase for up to 14 months. Ad-related data is retained by Google under its own policies.

7. Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

• Provide a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct information that is inaccurate.
• Delete your account and all associated save data.

To delete your account yourself: in the game, open the menu (☰), choose Account, then Delete Account. This immediately and permanently removes your account, your saved progress on every device, and your purchase records. If you signed in with Apple, you will be asked to confirm with Apple so we can unlink your Apple ID. Deleting your account does not remove analytics or crash reports already collected, which expire on the schedule in section 6.

To stop usage analytics: in the game, open the menu (☰), choose Settings, and turn off Share Usage Data. Analytics stops immediately and the choice is remembered on your device. This setting is not shown in regions where analytics is already switched off.

For anything else, or if you can no longer open the game, email dev@pettymf.com from the address linked to your account, or include your player identifier from the game's settings screen. We respond within 30 days.

California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what personal information is collected and the right to request deletion. We do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA.

Residents of the EEA, UK, and Switzerland have rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR, including access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and objection, and the right to withdraw consent to personalized advertising at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. Children's privacy

Shapefinities is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Security

Save data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to player data is limited to what is needed to operate the game. No method of storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

10. International data transfers

Shapefinities is operated from the United States and your data is stored there. If you play from outside the United States, including the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States. Our providers rely on standard contractual clauses and equivalent safeguards for those transfers.

11. Third-party links

The game may link to external sites and services, such as our Discord community. Those sites have their own privacy policies and we are not responsible for their practices.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the game changes. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Significant changes will be announced in the game or on this page.
